Displayz: an engaging hands-on workshop, which challenged limits of everyday spaces in a creative, provocative way. We explored specific places by attempting to perform an unexpected activity within them. Through ‘serious play’ we engaged in a non-linear process, which enhanced our design thinking. The workshop comprised two parts; displaced bodies/objects and displaced activities. By positioning our bodies and objects in space to create lines, shapes, volumes, dialogues of different sorts we created interesting dialogue not only between the bodies, but also between the bodies and the spatial elements. Then, displaced activities: This stage of the process involved photographing unexpected / unorthodox activities in everyday places.
