The Playful City

The design proposal ‘The Playful City’ is designed to address the concept of well-being and
empowering communities that benefits the community of Somers Town yet in a playful way. The
master plan is developed by a range of studies like analysis of historical facts, precedent studies,
case studies, scales, spatial qualities & movements, issues, typologies, hierarchies of objects,
sequence of spaces from public to private, flexibility, adaptability, models and hand drawings. With
complete exposure to a range of studies we came up with a final design proposal by creating
components that brings inside outside domesticities which are not just restricted to The Council
Estate Flat / The Courtyard / The Pub / The Somers Town but could also go to the wider Kings
Cross area.
